SPICY: Oscar Pistorius’ Family Part Of Price-Fixing Cartel

With Oscar in prison and a multitude of claims towards his family (remember those rhino horns?), it seems these guys just cannot fathom staying out of the news.

News of Oscar has been very limited since he trotted off to prison last year. It feels odd. He was a part of our headlines for so long. Thank goodness then that we can rely on the rest of his family to give us a monthly (or so) dose of news.

Hendrik Pistorius & Co., which is involved in fertiliser products for the agricultural industry, has been hit with a price-fixing claim.

They [The Competition Commission] want an administrative penalty of 10% of the company’s turnover over the period of the alleged price-fixing, related to fertiliser products, to be paid.

A “disgruntled customer and previous business partner” has come forward with these claims, saying the price-fixing dates as far back as 1995. The Competition Commission has gone and filed an application to have Hendrik Pistorius & Co. fined.

Of course Hendrik Pistorius & Co. has absolutely denied any price-fixing.
