We’ve all heard the Hollywood big guns talk about method acting. You know, like when Robert de Niro became an insomniac cabbie to prepare for ‘Taxi Driver’, or how Heath Ledger took on the role of The Joker with a little too much vigour.
Now we wouldn’t really put Ricardo Medina in the same league as those guys, but it seems the 36-year-old ex ‘Power Rangers’ actor also brought some of his work home with him. Medina stands accused of murdering his roommate on Sunday, using a sword to carry out the horrid deed.
Medina’s last listed work was on the spin-off series ‘Power Rangers Samurai’, where he may have learned the art of wielding said sword. This from the LA Times:
The incident began when Medina went to his bedroom with his girlfriend after getting into an argument with his roommate, Joshua Sutter…
Sutter, 36, followed and forced open the door to the bedroom; Medina took up a sword that he kept next to the door and fatally stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen, authorities said.
It seems Medina may have some anger issues to work through. His bail has been set at $1 million, which makes me think they are paying the guys underneath those masks far too much money to run around in Spandex.
