We should all be amazed daily by the ingenious creations of others and how they simplify our lives. A machine that turns bread into toast. A woman commanding me to turn left then right to reach my destination through my phone. Beer. The mind boggles.

Well these devices should really give you a tech-halfy then, because these guys really are taking it to the next level.

Introducing the Belty, which is “a smart belt that learns your eating habits and adjusts depending on how much you have eaten”.

Not suitable impressed? How about the Baidu Kuaisou chopsticks, which will not only make you look pretty pimping but have tangible health benefits. This from Bandwidthblog:

[They] can detect “oils containing unsanitary levels of contamination.” It uses a series of sensors to determine metrics like oil quality, temperature, PH levels, and even calories, then transmits that information to an app. A tiny blue LED at the tip of the chopsticks would give you an on-sight reading.

Finally, how about this rather intelligent mug? The Vessyl is pretty unique and according to Bandwidthblog:

…can analyse what you are drinking. It can identify the dietary contents and syncs the information with the companion application. It doesn’t just identify your drink, e.g. Tea, Water, Soda, Coffee, but also knows what it contains, like sugar, calories, fat, caffeine, protein, etc.

That’s all fine but if it starts telling me I have had enough gin and I might want to slow down, I will be forced to do unspeakable things to it.
