There is no shame in living beyond your means. You can always get a credit card to cover the other credit card’s debts. Live for the now, tomorrow has a funny way of working itself out (we hope).

You could of course go the other way, leading an incredibly thrifty lifestyle whilst quietly amassing a mega-fortune through some slick stock picks. But why, what good is all that money going to do when you’re six feet under?

Ronald Read was a man who lived a simple existence, yet after his passing in June of last year in Vermont, family and friends were shocked to find out about his secret savings. This from CNBC:

Brooks Memorial Library and Brattleboro Memorial Hospital each received their largest bequests ever. Read left $1.2 million to the library, founded in 1886, and $4.8 million to the hospital, founded in 1904.

It turns out your money can do some good whilst you’re pushing up daisies. Both donations are the largest either institution has ever received.

Read, who worked as a janitor at a JCPenney store, is survived by two stepchildren. They couldn’t be reached for comment but my guess is they are probably cursing themselves for not lavishing the old man with attention in his final days.

Of course you don’t have to rely on a generous relative to ensure your financial safety. I know the whole investment portfolio thing sounds daunting but that’s why you should let the professionals at Consequence Private Wealth handle your affairs. This is financial planning made simple, with their team of expert advisors there to assist you in growing your monetary empire.

More money, yes please. And you won’t have to clean toilets your whole life to get there.
