In what can only be described as a real life The Italian Job meets Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13 meets Entrapment but all set in France, 15 armed assailants robbed two vans of over €9 million worth of jewellery.
The A6 highway, which connects Paris and Lyon, was the scene for the slick theft.
The theft happened late at night and took place at a tollbooth near Auxerre. The robbers easily removed the drivers of the vans from the vehicles by using a gas, reports BFMTV. The robbers then fled the scene in “four high-speed cars and the two vans”. Police later found the two vans, burt out, in a forest. The two drivers are alright and are being questioned by police.
This is another in a stream of click attacks in the country. Last year, a Cartier store was robbed, and prior to that The Cannes Film Festival was the scene for a robbery of over $136 million in “loot”. You can read about more heists in France HERE.
How are these guys so good at what they do? It’s like they are having lessons from Danny Ocean and Robert “Mac” MacDougal at the same time.
