When your company is estimated to be valued at around $700 billion (that’s billion with a ‘b’) you can afford to splurge on a pretty sick new crib. Apple, tech-giants extraordinaire, are pretty proud of their new campus and have given us a drone-assisted sneak peek.
The new digs, set to open around the end of 2016, have been dubbed the ‘Spaceship’ campus and are being built close to the company’s existing location in Cupertino, California. There will be space for an additional 12 000 employees, which makes sense when you consider these numbers from Fortune:
Apple posted revenue of $74.6 billion last quarter, a 29.5% jump over the same period last year. It sold 74.5 million iPhones in the quarter, a number bolstered by the introduction of the Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models.
Yeah it looks great, but where are the mountains and the sea my friends?
