You might have caught the Sunday Times article about various rental rates on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, highlighting the fact that one property is available at R400k a month. Well, this trumps it..
The article mentioned Enigma Mansion was available at R50,000 a day for short term rentals and that another property in Camps Bay was available for R400k a month. Well it seems Enigma Mansion does also offer the possibility of a long term lease.
After researching the Enigma website, it seems there is a rate especially for stays of 40 days or more. That rate (for the main residence) is R24,900 a day. Which, for a 30 day month, comes in at a quiet R747,000 a month. That’s almost double the most expensive long term rental mentioned in the Sunday Times.
It’s no wonder the property pulls in over R6 million a year for rentals and shoots! Quite a good investment, now that Enigma is for sale!
