Glass offices are definitely the way forward – just look at the Portside building and what they’re doing to Standard Bank in the CBD. They look beautiful and surely should create employment for hundreds of people (with the sole purpose of cleaning the windows).
It comes as no surprise then that Uber’s new HQ in San Francisco is going to a two-building glass palace of office space. It is going to boast 423,000 square feet of office space, which is enough to fit over 3 000 people. Instead of going with the ever popular open plan layout, they’re going to “set up a series of small groups of workstations and shared spaces” (that sounds familiar, doesn’t it?).
Doesn’t that look peachy?
It should be finished by early 2018…
