When you think of motorbike clubs you might think of Hell’s Angels, the most notorious biker gang out there, or perhaps the two gangs responsible for the massive shoot-out at a restaurant in Texas earlier this year.
We do of course have our own motorbike clubs here at home, but what really caused the BBC to sit up and take notice is the new wave of black bike owners coming together:
In South Africa they have traditionally been the preserve of the white community, but in recent years more and more clubs with black members have begun to spring up.
Often the members combine their love of bikes with a passion to give back to their communities.
The video above showcases a day the British news giants spent with the Bravehearts Club in Cape Town, watching them rev their engines and dispel the notion that bikers are a rather unruly bunch.
It always makes a pleasant change to see the overseas community focusing on the positives within our borders so we’ll admit to being a little excited ourselves. Good work gents, looks like you’re winning many hearts along the way.
