    THIS IS THE OFFER

Many young South Africans, excited by new technologies, long to prove their creativity in fields such as digital design – but their career dreams are often thwarted by monetary constraints.

To assist students with the potential to shine as visual communicators, Friends of Design Academy of Digital Arts is working with MICT SETA, who have budgets for bursaries to invest in a brighter future for South Africa’s young creatives. The course that is on offer is:

1 Year Higher Certificate in Print Design & Publishing

Our accredited one-year, practical print programme is designed to give you a thorough grounding in print media environment. You will master the tools, practices and terminology required to produce professional print media. You will emerge confident enough to apply your skills from pre-press to post-press: receiving a brief, conceptualizing a visual solution; presenting the ideas professionally; executing a concept digitally through the use of a wide range of industry standard application programs such as Adobe Acrobat®, InDesign®, Illustrator®, and Photoshop®, and applying finishing art techniques to take your documents to press, and, finally, presenting the final body of work in a professional manner.

The program is fully funded and has a value of ZAR 70 000. A bus ticket is included to get the bursars to the academy and back home every day.

The requirements for the course are
    · Matric
    · 18 years old
    · Portfolio

They would like to start the program on the 16th of October 2015 so the deadline to apply for the program is the 9th of October 2015.
