Last night was the 67th annual Emmy Awards in downtown LA and those who were most deserving won. The evening was hosted by Andy Samberg and saw all the important names in primetime television come out to play.

The show opened with host Andy Samberg in a video that poked fun at TV’s overabundance of buzzed-about shows. After being mocked by friends for not keeping up with popular new series, Samberg locks himself in a bunker and watches nothing but TV for a year until he emerges, hairy and wild-eyed, to annoy everyone around him.

The most impressive performance was from HBO’s Game of Thrones (duh) who led all nominees with 24 nods, while Transparent (a must see) earned an impressive 11 nominations its breakout year. The list of contenders for each category was exceptional – just proving that the quality of the most popular series is way beyond – and much more appreciated – than any of the movies we see nominated at the Oscars.

Check out the *almost full list of all nominees and the winner in each category below – damn, there are some great names there..
