Remember that video from a few weeks back of an angry elephant in Zimbabwe who ruined someone’s lunch? Looks like we have some competition then, this video coming out of Gonarezhou National Park in southern Zimbabwe.
It seems people are not all that convinced by how the driver of the vehicle handled the situation, the elephant clearly annoyed as it moves off right at the start of that video up top. This below from News24:
The video of the attack in Gonarezhou has provoked angry comments on social media, with some blaming the driver of the vehicle for following the animal.
Kruger National Park Accommodation said in a post to Facebook earlier this month: “We might have some careless visitors in our parks, but at least our guides aren’t this reckless!”
I suppose it’s always a fine line between wanting to get your guests as possible and ensuring their safety. Perhaps in this instance the driver may have exercised greater caution, although at least the tourists got some one of a kind footage and walked away unharmed.
