There’s nothing quite like winning something for nothing; that feeling you get when goodies are headed your way and you didn’t even enter a competition.

What’s better than goodies is cold, hard cash – and we’re about to fork out a R1 000 to one lucky lady who had her eye on the ball. Or rather her friend had their eye on the ball and noticed her in the nick of time.

You might remember this post from yesterday, our October winning pictures from the Corner Bakery competition.

Here’s one to jog your memory…

So someone spotted that woman in the Corner Bakery store and sent it in, according to the competition rules (below in red). It was the best entry of the pics we received that month.

Now from the moment we published that picture the countdown began, our yoga-pantsed friend having 24 hours to get hold of us in order to win R1 000. If she didn’t then the reader who sent in the picture, Barney B, would land himself the R1 000.

Well it wasn’t long before we heard from a certain Caroline, who sent in this picture as proof that she was indeed our Corner Bakery lady. We’ve kept some of the secrecy – at her request – by just showing the pants in question. Caroline is now R1 000 richer and a firm favourite amongst 2oceansvibe’s readers. Judging by the heated towel rail and premium basin, coupled with her fashion sense, Caroline will probably be blowing that grand on some new summer kaftans!

    Well played Caroline… well played.

So how can you go about getting in on the action…

THIS IS HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS, STEP BY STEP SO EVERYONE CAN GET INVOLVED.

Firstly, you know what Corner Bakery is, right? It’s only the biggest and most yummy chain of bakeries in Engen QuickShops across South Africa. And they don’t only make pies, they also absolutely nail burgers, donuts, muffins, other pastries and the Equatorial Coffee is to die for. Anyone who has visited the Engen Garage in Gardens, Cape Town, will know ALL about it.

So, to win the R1 000, do the following.

Find a Corner Bakery at an Engen QuickShop near you (there are tons all over the country) – check out their store locator map here.

Find someone spicy ordering or eating. This might take a few minutes so it would be best for you to go in the morning for a coffee fix or near lunch to smash a pie while you wait. We’ve posted some deals below to help your planning.

Take a picture of that spicy someone at the Corner Bakery and email it to editor@2oceansvibe.com with the subject line #2goodnot2share.

Every month we will publish the best picture received from you, our beautiful readers.

If the person in the pic doesn’t contact us within 24 hours, then you get R1 000 cash

If anyone is caught staging entries, they will be exposed and reported to the police. Quite hectic.

If they DO get in touch with us with proof that they are the person in the pic then THEY get the money and you get sweet nothing.

Imagine that – a competition that requires you to act like a private eye, eat pies, drink coffee and win cash. Surely it doesn’t get better than that?

This may well be the best competition in the world. Ever.

    Good luck out there, gang!

Terms and conditions apply – judges decision is final.

Check out Corner Bakery’s Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with the latest deals and events.

Unlucky Barney B, better luck next time.
