There’s no doubt about it: Olivia Wilde is stunningly cool. And when it comes to adding a bit of Christmas cheer to those in need, the mother of one knows the importance of giving. Even if she did follow in the tracks of a local startup.

During a spirited giveaway, the actress personally handed out pairs of snug black socks to the homeless at The Los Angeles Mission.

And, of course, the crowd went Wilde.

If you have no idea what local trend I’m on about, then shame on you. It goes by the name of SexySocks and started the sock-giving trend way back in May. The local entrepreneur Dave Hutchison has pledged to give a free pair of socks to school children every time you buy a pair online.
