So you’ve gone and read our post on all the 2016 Globe winners – now for the real fun.
So up top you have the opening monologue, Ricky doing what he does best and destroying some of the industry’s leading lights. Of course there’s still those great filler moments when Gervais introduces guests after he’s had a couple, leading to such gems as these from the Telegraph:
“He’s been the only person Ben Affleck hasn’t been unfaithful to. Please welcome Matt Damon.”
“Eva Longoria and America Ferrera are not only beautiful and talented actresses, they are also two people who your future president, Donald Trump, can’t wait to deport.”
“Joy and Trainwreck, no not the names of Charlie Sheen’s two favourite hookers… the films of our next two presenters.”
Then also enjoy this wonderful exchange between Ricky and Mel Gibson, who have something of a storied history of Golden Globes run ins.
That bleeped out bit was Ricky saying “What the f*ck does ‘sugar t*ts’ even mean”, a reference to one of Mel’s drunken rants to a police officer.
He then tweeted this out mid show:
You just do you my friend, I don’t see you hosting another one so at least you went out with a bang.
