Day Made – You Can Now Take Your Sriracha Anywhere

I'm not much of a condiments fan, I generally like to taste the actual food rather than the same old sauce. I make an exception for sriracha though.

If you’re here reading this you’re going to fall into one of two categories – either throwing around some air punches in delight or wondering what the hell Sriracha is.

Now for the latter we’ll offer a brief explanation before we carry on our merry way. This glorious creation is a hot sauce made from chilli paste, vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt – originating from Thailand and taking the world (and our offices) by storm the past few years.

For the fist pumpers out there we do owe you something of an apology, seeing as though at present they’re only available in the US. Here’s TIME:

Sriracha2Go.com, backed by investor and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, offers 50-packs for $14.99 each and 200-packs for $34.99 each, and urges customers to “stay on the lookout for [the packets] at restaurants, fast food chains, stadiums, campuses and more to come throughout the year.”

I hear you haters in the back row, asking why it’s important to have it in packets when you can buy a whole bottle. You telling me you cart a bottle around with you everywhere you go, ready to bust out when your food needs a little spicing up? No, didn’t think so.

A quick check on the exchange rate shows that you’re buying a 50 pack for about R250, which is before you have paid for your overseas postage. Maybe you want to go in together with a bunch of mates and share those shipping costs?

Or cart around that bottle with you.

If you really want your day made how about R1 000 cash for taking a picture of someone at a Corner Bakery? You should already know about our competition but if you don’t then read THIS, nothing perks me up quite like winning something for nothing.
