Apparently this is the sport of the future: drone racing. No lies, it looks pretty epic – like a Star Wars race, but on a much smaller level. At the moment, however, it’s just a niche market for the nerds and has been described as this:
Twitch meets Formula 1
Translated: Formula 1 for nerds. SERIOUSLY.
Anyways, so this hobby sees drones fly at around 100 km/h and crash into various obstacles along the racecourse. It’s actually flipping fun to watch. But hey, I’m just a little bit of a nerd.
Make sure you watch the first official race on 15 February. Whoop.
