At just four feet and six inches tall, Jack Jeffery is in second grade and, well, can shoot a half-court basket better than most. The wonder boy made grown men cry when he led his Blue Devils basketball team to victory on Saturday in a championship game in California. In the game’s final seconds Jack managed to sink not only one, but two half-court shots. He has now been likened to Golden State Warriors Star Steph Curry.
Jack told NBC news about the competition he was feeling:
My friend, Jimmy, his dad didn’t think I would do it.
Well, he did and his dad Colin Jeffery, described the moment:
Clean, swoosh, straight through. And the place erupted. It was amazing.
You might have picked up a South African accent when Colin spoke and you’d be correct – Colin Jeffery is the creative superstar who worked at King James before heading over to Los Angeles to become the co-owner of the monster agency David & Goliath.
Making the shot fairly frequently, Jack has been playing the game since he was four. His suggestion for a great shot? You have to hold your form. Sweetie pie.
