Last night saw firefighters battling a blaze on the iconic Signal Hill, with six vehicles called out to assist.
The blaze started in the late afternoon, smoke billowing out across the city as Twitter did its thing and kept us up to speed.

Fire and Rescue Services’ Theo Layne says the blaze was brought under control late last night.
“The fire that started up at Signal Hill last night was extinguished by 10pm and Table Mountain National Parks remained on scene to monitor the area throughout the night to make sure that no flare-ups occurred.”
