No one likes to have their goodies nicked, and if those goodies are valuable camera gear then you’re really going to be unimpressed.
Photo Hire, a Cape Town rental outlet for photographic gear, are currently fuming about a man who made off with a long list of their items.
We received an email from them yesterday, with this just a small portion:
Photo Hire was the victim of an absconsion scam. This man rented equipment from us and several other companies under a false name and details, and never returned the items. Please be on the lookout for him, he has a lot of insider industry knowledge and is a pro.
Then this from their Vimeo video of the CCTV footage:
Cape Town: This man rented equipment from us, and has absconded with the gear. We have established that he picked up the gear under false name and details. We have also established that he stole gear from another rental company on the same day.
If you have any information regarding this person please contact us without delay.
Reward offered for any information leading to an arrest of the suspect.
Go ahead and see how this one all played out…
