When thinking of winning the lottery, all your money worries instantly disappear. It’s a wonderful feeling, but if you don’t snap yourself back to reality fast enough it can get you down.
Also, if you don’t buy a ticket for the lottery you literally have no chance of becoming a winner- duh.
So here’s a reason you should probably just buy yourself one and tata ma chance: the Mega Millions jackpot is sitting at its seventh-largest in U.S. lottery history, climbing to $508 million (R7.5 billion) after no one won last week’s draw.
Taylor Nash, deputy communications director with the Florida Lottery, had some thoughts on the situation:
As the jackpots grow, so do lottery sales. At our highest point of sales today, we were averaging $5,160 per minute. This is higher than normal.
Although the biggest jackpot in Mega Millions‘ history was $656 million in 2012, if no one wins tomorrow night’s draw, the amount will increase.
To win, you will need to match six numbers, five numbers ranging from 1-75 and a sixth ranging from 1-15 in order to win. You can still win between $1 and $1 million (by matching all five balls without that extra sixth).
If that sounds just dandy, then pop over HERE and get all your tickets for tomorrow night’s draw. You could have a real reason to celebrate this weekend.
