When Ryan Lochte lied about the events of his Saturday night bender in the city of Rio during the Olympics, he gave the U.S. media the chance to rip him apart by using him as a poster boy for “every reason the world hates Americans.”
From being called the “Lochte Ness Monster” to a “Faulknerian idiot man-child”, Ryan Lochte’s irresponsible actions, money to “cover” it up, lying to his mom (and even his audacity to milk the public’s sympathy until the truth came out) was basically an awful use of entitlement.
While some called him a child, others noted this is his third Olympics and the man is 32.

The New York Post dubbed the wayward swimmer “The Ugly American.”
He cried wolf and was called on it, and that will be his burden to bear for a good long while – but not his alone.
The Ugly American is alive and well in 2016 thanks to this dope.
