JK Rowling, the Harry Potter author in case you’ve been living under a staircase at your uncle’s house, is estimated to be worth around $1 billion (R14,4 billion).

So how does she spend that crazy Hogwarts cash? Well she did buy a yacht from none other than Johnny Depp eight months ago, although she is now flogging it for £7 million (R133 million) less than she bought it for.

    Here’s the Daily Mail:

Miss Rowling has put the 156ft Amphitrite – formerly owned by Johnny Depp – up for sale at just over £15million. She reportedly paid £22million for the luxury vessel, having fallen in love with it after chartering it for a holiday with her husband Neil Murray and their two children.

Its name was changed early last year when Depp sold the yacht after marrying Amber Heard. The 1930s-style superyacht can sleep ten guests…

Included in the purchase price are artworks, two rigid inflatable tender boats and equipment for guests to enjoy waterskiing, windsurfing and kayaking.

No reason was given for the prompt sale and a representative for Miss Rowling said: ‘We will not be commenting on this as it is a private matter.’

Well, that sure looks like a good time.

You know the drill – buy a ticket for tonight’s Powerball and win R3,2 billion (HERE), buy the yacht, live like a king.
