Al Gore is back.
If his first doccie, An Inconvenient Truth, was not enough to scare you about the future of our planet, then maybe, just maybe, this time you will be convinced.
First screened at the Sundance Film Festival, the sequel, aptly named An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, seems as though it is speaking directly to President Trump – which is fitting seeing as Trump has just signed a bill that dramatically changes the USA’s approach to climate change.
[Angry react only.]
This time around, the tagline for the documentary goes like this:
It’s time to fight like your world depends on it.
And our world does depend on it.
Remember that time Trump asked for global warming to make an appearance because it was so cold? Although the crowd laughed at his silly joke, he was being serious and this is the scene chosen to open the trailer:
From there on out, things get hectic as the former Vice President lays down the facts.
In the documentary, which is set to be released in July, Gore returns as the pot-stirring narrator.
Let’s just hope the rising water levels don’t drown us by then.
