  • Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Make A Circus Bear Ride A Skateboard [Videos]

I swear, what is it with Russia and bears?

The country already got kakked on for using a trained bear at one of their football games, so you’d think they would stay away from turning these fine beasts into means of entertainment.

    Nope, not in this case.

The only difference is that this circus bear got its revenge – sort of.

Here’s the scoop, per a report by CBS News: there’s an insane video from a circus in Russia’s Volgograd region that shows a skateboard-riding bear – yup, they trained it to do such a thing – turning on another handler, and attacking him during a show this past weekend:

[The video] shows the bear sliding down a ramp on the skateboard while a handler holds on to its leash. At the end of the ramp, the bear gets rambunctious, and strains against the leash.

That’s when the bear saw red.

    Specifically, another handler wearing red:

Here’s another angle of the scuffle:

Ooh, that’s going to leave a mark. Or two. Or more. Yeah, probably a lot more.

As you can see, the bear and the man are going at it in the ring, as the other handlers try to beat the bear off with long sticks.

    Soon, however:

The bear lets go and the man stands up. He does not appear to be badly wounded, as he is able to stand, and once he is freed from the bear he walks over to pick up a stick.

I feel far more sorry for the bear, to be honest.

You’d think the human race would learn not to put wild animals up to such nonsense. It didn’t go so well for a circus the last time when a lion mauled a trainer.

Then again, this is the human race we’re talking about – we’re plain dumb like that.
