August is Women’s Month here in South Africa, and if you did last Thursday (August 9) right, you would have celebrated the women in your life.

Cheers to that, and cheers also to the women who are excelling in traditionally male-dominated fields, like the tech and IT industry.

Slowly but surely, both industries are diversifying, and it’s with that in mind that RSAWEB, South Africa’s finest internet and hosting service provider, chose to honour their “fierce female heroes”.

They shared their experiences in the hopes of providing some inspiration to young women who want to follow in their footsteps, and build a career in the tech and IT space.

    The floor is yours:

Let’s find out a little more about Leonore, Veronica, Wendy and Naeema.

Leonore (Operations Manager and Cape Town Enterprise Sales Manager) heads up the operations team nationally, which encompasses cross-departmental collaboration to ensure efficient implementation of customer-centric products, processes and strategy, which aims to delight the customer throughout the entire customer journey.

As the partner program manager, Veronica is responsible for building strategic relationships with partners and influencing their customers. This means building multi-level relationship engagements between the partner’s organisation and RSAWEB.

Naeema (Connectivity Product Specialist) makes sure our products are competitively positioned in the market. She needs to understand what our customers’ needs are, what problems they face regarding connectivity and address those by providing services that are built for purpose and generate revenue.

Last, but not least, Wendy (Business Unit Manager – Consumer and SME) oversees the sales, market-positioning, marketing, onboarding and retention of our consumer and SME customers. She manages the sales teams, projects teams, onsite support and marketing.

These fierce female heroes, together with the rest of the RSAWEB staff, make for a formidable team.
