Dads are going to dad, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
If you’re having a few toots with your old man these holidays, you can probably expect the odd dad joke to be headed your way.
Either that or you’re the insufferable old timer who’s humiliating the kids yourself.
In that case, more power to you.
The Christmas adverts are upon us (Elton John’s is probably the pick of the bunch), and now Bouygues Telecom have entered the fray.
Not that you need an explanation, because this seems universal, but here’s Huff Post:
[Their] holiday commercial follows a father who loves to awkwardly dance to Redbone’s “Come and Get Your Love” ― consequently amusing and embarrassing his son through the years. The heartwarming ending highlights the circle of life at Christmastime and serves as a reminder to dads to keep on dancing.
It’s tough to watch this without cracking a smile:
Marvellous.
