In just three years time, luxury holidays could take place in space.

All you need is $9,5 million dollars, and three months to undergo a rigorous training program.

The pay-off is that you’ll get to float in zero gravity, see the earth from space, and watch up to 16 sunrises in one day.

These are some of the perks of staying at the luxury space hotel, Aurora Station, which, writes CNN, will be opening its doors to guests in 2022.

    Take a look:

Orion Span, the company behind the space hotel, say that they want to make space travel more accessible. It’s a bit out of my budget, but I wouldn’t say no if a ticket came my way.

“Upon launch, Aurora Station goes into service immediately, bringing travelers into space quickly and at a lower price point than ever seen before.”

Travellers will spend 12 days orbiting the earth. Activities include taking part in research experiments such as growing food while in orbit – which guests can then take home for a souvenir.

During their 12-day adventure, the super-rich travelers will fly at a height of 200 miles above the Earth’s surface in Low Earth Orbit, or LEP, where they will witness incredible views of the blue planet.

The hotel will orbit Earth every 90 minutes, which means guests will see around 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours.

The spacecraft will be 12 feet wide and 35 feet long, which is similar to the size of a private jet.

“With customizable private sleeping pods, top-quality space food and luxury design details, Aurora Station is ushering in a new era of space travel, setting the bar higher than ever before,” says Bunger.

Guests will complete a three-month Orion Span Astronaut Certification (OSAC) program before take-off. Orion Span has a team of space industry veterans who together have more than 140 years of human space experience.

To infinity and beyond. in three years time.
