Seth Rogen is used to playing men who end up with women way out their league. In the same vein, Charlize Theron is no stranger to playing strong women.
With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that the two have joined forces (along with Boys II Men – yes, really) for the upcoming rom-com, Long Shot.
The film follows Charlize as the Secretary of State, who hires Rogen, a journalist that she used to babysit when he was a child.
Here’s AVClub:
Director Jonathan Levine helmed 50/50 and the underrated The Night Before with Rogen, and the supporting cast includes Bob Odenkirk, Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Ravi Patel, not to mention ultra-hunk Alexander Skarsgard doing his best Justin Trudeau impression as the Prime Minister of Canada.
Also, as we’ve already made pains to point out, Boyz II Men.
What follows is an unlikely friendship that turns into an unlikely romance. Check out the trailer:
Long Shot hits the theatres on May 3.
