I suppose it’s cool that Costa Rica’s National Motorbike Championship has finally been put on the map, although this isn’t how organisers would have wanted it to go down.
The incident below actually took place back in late February, but the footage resurfaced earlier this week and attracted widespread media attention.
Both of those involved in the altercation have been banned from the sport for two years, with the Guardian reporting that Jorge Martínez threw the first punch at Marion Calvo, blaming him for losing his balance.
As you can see, neither of these men look to have a career in boxing, although I do think the transfer from one bike to the other is a serious athletic feat:
Pro tip – blows to the head are less effective when the guy is wearing a helmet.
I reckon they could use some tips from the Benoni golf clubhouse brawler, who sure knows how to land a punch.
