Until recently, I was a PC person all the way.

After going through the trauma of trying to get three buggy laptops working properly, I decided to buy a MacBook Air.

    And I’ve never looked back.

Needless to say, I was not surprised to find out that Apple has come out tops in Laptop Mag‘s annual tech support showdown, designed to help customers determine which companies are offering the most reliable customer service in the tech industry.

    Here’s MacRumors with the details:

Apple received an aggregate score of 91, earning 54 points [out of 60] for its web-based tech support and 37 points [out of 40] for its phone-based tech support. Laptop Mag says that Apple’s support staff are among the “fastest and most knowledgeable,” offering up “accurate answers” to Mac questions across live chat, social media, and the phone

You can check out how other tech brands compared here:

This backs up my own experience as a Mac user. When a problem arises with my machine – which is rare – the resources available to me far surpass any that I had access to when I was running a PC.

At Digicape, South Africa’s largest independent Apple retailer, for example, you can make a ‘Fundi Booking’.

A Fundi Booking is a one-on-one appointment with one of their ‘Apple Fundis’ to discuss any question or problem you have related to your Apple hardware or software, or any other products that Digicape support.

Anyone who has tried to fix something by calling a call centre will understand why engaging with a real person who can walk you through something in real time has the potential to be both time-saving and life-changing.

To add to the convenience, you can schedule a Fundi Booking online.

Then, when your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch gets dated, you can trade them in at your local Digicape store and get fresh moola to spend as you please.

Hello new iPhone, iPad or Watch.

To make the switch to Apple, or just browse the latest Apple products visit the Digicape website.
