Finally!
Fans of the Marvel franchise have been waiting for what feels like forever for a new The New Mutants trailer.
It’s been around two years since we last caught a glimpse of the film which has faced countless reshoots and delays.
Now it’s finally here, along with a much-anticipated release date.
Polygon will fill you in on the storyline:
The new trailer focuses on Danielle Mooonstar (played by Blu Hunt), a powerful psychic mutant who can bring people’s worst nightmares into reality, and the newest resident of a mysterious psychiatric hospital. She meets a few of the other patients including, Rahne Sinclair, a girl who can turn into a wolf, played by Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams, Illyana Rasputin who goes by Magik, played by Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch, Split), and Sam Guthrie, played by Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things).
After their brief introduction we find out that where they’re being kept isn’t really a hospital, it’s a cage. From there all hell breaks loose, as the trailer quickly cuts from characters being trapped on medical beds to struggling with their own terrifying and uncontrolled powers.
