  • Think You’ve Had A Bad Uber Experience? Watch This Livestreamed Nightmare Uber Trip [Video]

I thought I had it bad when one of my Uber drivers didn’t know how to use a handbrake, and I had to talk him through what it was there for during a hilly ride through Sea Point.

Well, compared to this Uber ride from hell in Virginia, that was child’s play.

The Uber driver in the video below, 38-year-old Olufemi S. Olomola, has been charged by police with two counts of abduction, reckless driving, and felony hit and run.

That won’t change the fact that John Murray and his wife, Tameka Swann, felt terrified for their lives on what was supposed to be a rare date night.

Wise to get in there early and avoid the Valentine’s Day crowds, but a decision that backfired badly, and a date that could end up on one of those ‘worst dates’ lists.

    CNN with the details:

Murray says their driver, who he identified as Olomola, picked them up outside their home. A few blocks later, they were rear-ended by another driver.

“I thought we were just going to pull over and they would exchange information, but the other driver pulled around us and took off,” he said. “I had no idea he was about to go fast and furious on us.”

This is on you, Vin Diesel. You had to keep on going with Fast and Furious 9 (or F9, or whatever the hell it’s called)  and this is the end product.

Once Murray realised the driver was out of control, he began livestreaming on Facebook.

Here’s an edited down version of the stream, which exceeded four minutes:

Thankfully, the couple was eventually let out by the driver, although they say they’re still sore from the two accidents along the way.

    That’s a one-star review for sure.

Uber responded to CNN’s query with this statement:

“This driver’s behavior is deeply concerning and his access to the app has been removed. We have been in contact with the rider and stand ready to support law enforcement on their investigation.”

Good, because unstable individuals like Olufemi shouldn’t be behind the wheel.

Here’s hoping your rides are peaceful, and with drivers who know how to operate a handbrake.
