  • R39 Million Gets You This Beauty In Noordhoek

I went for a hike up Chapman’s Peak recently, and the views down onto Hout Bay were superb.

From atop, you also get a good look into Noordhoek, and some of the properties nestled along the mountainside look spectacular.

Rolling lawns, natural dams, and of course the obligatory stables, it being Noordhoek and all.

Off to Property24 I went for a snoop around, and I found one of the properties I’d ogled listed for a cool R39 million.

Set within the very exclusive Goedehoop Estate, the 22 098 m² listing says the property “exudes the characteristics of a Cotswold manor”.

Well, who I am to argue with that? More of that write-up:

This property will appeal to a family who enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. The main home has 5 bedrooms and generous living accommodation. The overall impression is one of comfort and warmth…

In addition there is a 3 bedroom cottage, again, reminiscent of a true country English country cottage suitably draped in fragrant Wisteria.

The property also has first-class equestrian facilities including an immaculate stable block. The Goedehoop estate is set on a gentle mountain slope and all properties lead from leafy lanes and bordered with indigenous fynbos.

The superb backdrop to this exclusive estate is the majestic Noordhoek amphitheatre mountains.

I’m definitely a big fan of that outside cottage, as well as the fact that the first picture below tells me there’s a horse called ‘Gambler’ in the stables:

    A peek inside the home:

    Yep, quite nice.

If R39 million is a little too rich for your liking, there’s another property for sale in the Goedehoop estate, which is on the market for R29,5 million.
