Be warned, pet owners – this video will give you heart palpitations.
Thankfully, there is a happy ending, and the dog enjoying a splash in the ocean made it out in time, so you can breathe a little easier.
The footage below was filmed close to Umagico, a coastal area in the Northern Peninsula Area Region of Queensland.
Australian crocodiles are known to fancy a little seawater swim, and if you pay attention to the right side of the screen, you’ll see a rather large specimen enter the frame.
The video was uploaded to Facebook by Han and Her Four Men, an account documenting a family’s travels around Australia.
Again, there’s a happy ending, so don’t get too worked up:
According to Newsweek, a woman named Hannah, who filmed the video, stated “it was a dog known to live at the camping grounds and that its owner, not identified by name, was among those trying to get it back”.
That’ll be a relieved owner, then.
