    Rather nice?

    Just nice?

A cup of tea is nice. Mrs Warren who works down the nursery school – she’s nice.

If you figured out that I’m talking about that iconic Fiat Palio ad from days of old, congrats.

If not, sorry, I’ll get down to business.

I could use a feelgood reminder of just how beautiful this country we call home really is, and for that, we present spoken word performer Siphokazi Jonas’ love letter to South Africa.

The video, launched as part of Google Arts & Culture and South African Tourism’s new ‘South Africa: An Explorer’s Paradise’ online exhibition, aims to entice those from abroad and here at home to make the most of what we have on offer.

    More from IOL:

The new platform makes creating your South African itinerary so much easier, offering in-depth information on all attractions.

SA Tourism CEO Sisa Ntshona said that the partnership will play a crucial part in the tourism sector’s recovery, which took strain due to Covid-19.

Google Arts & Culture Head of Global Operations Luisella Meza called the project the “beginning of a journey”. She foresaw that the new initiative will “grow in future phases”.

    Take it way, Siphokazi:

Told you it was rather nice. As the youth might say, “right in the feels”.

After some of the horrific South African productions we’ve been subjected to recently (cough, Love Island SA, cough), it’s nice to see something that’s very well made.
