Meghan ‘Ghosting’ Video Resurfaces As Piers Morgan ‘Quits’ TV Show

We don't want to talk about Piers any longer, either, but there's finally some good news emerging from his incessant attacks on Meghan and Harry.

We’re into day three of the obsessive media coverage of the Meghan and Harry Oprah interview, and there’s finally some good news to report.

Piers Morgan’s time at ITV’s Good Morning Britain (GMB), which he co-hosted, is over.

Having won back a shred of credibility for how he grilled the likes of UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock and Sarah Palin, calling them out for their nonsense, Piers blew through any and all goodwill with his incessant attacks on Meghan and Harry, but especially the latter.

In fact, even co-host Alex Beresford, who handles the weather, couldn’t stomach it, calling Piers out during a live broadcast.

We covered this yesterday, but here’s a recap:

I had hoped that was the last we would have to write about ‘ol Piers, but then news broke last night that he was leaving GMB.

ITV issued a brief statement:

…the broadcaster said: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.

“ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”

Here’s the thing about that – it wasn’t like Piers simply said ‘I’ve had enough’ and pulled the plug.

In fact, over the past two days, his comments towards Meghan and Harry drew in excess of 40 000 complaints to the UK’s broadcasting regulator, Ofcom.

It’s been reported that Piers was told to apologise, which he refused to do, and the decision was then made that he should part ways with the show.

Let’s see a brief timeline, then:

Following the news breaking, one clip, in particular, was shared far and wide. It’s from 2018, and shows Piers sort of taking credit for introducing Meghan and Harry.

It also shows him telling the host of Ireland’s Late Late Show that from that moment on, Meghan ghosted him:

If that video doesn’t work, you can see the same clip below:

As Stephen Colbert put it, “Piers is such a baby that someone at Buckingham Palace just asked what colour he’s gonna be.”

What’s perhaps most amusing here is that Meghan ended up married to a literal prince, whereas Piers has now lost his TV gig, and spends his days writing about Meghan for The Daily Mail and moaning about Arsenal on Twitter.

And boy, does he enjoy taking aim at Meghan for The Daily Mail.

These are just some of the stories he has written since he was shunned by the now Duchess of Sussex:

Some of those headlines, via NewsAU:

“Harry and Meghan are grasping, selfish, deluded Royal Hustlers”

“Harry and Meghan should stop behaving like whiny spoiled brats”

“Harry and Meghan are the world’s most tone-deaf, hypocritical, narcissistic, deluded, whiny brats”

“Meghan Markle is a ruthless social climbing actress”

Almost every woman can tell you a story about rebuffing the advances of a man, and having that man turn nasty afterwards, but it’s not often you have to watch it play out in newspaper columns, TV shows, and social media.

You’ll still see plenty of Piers, most likely on Fox News decrying ‘cancel culture’ and anywhere else he can play the victim, but this is one round he appears to have lost.

Finally, here he is quoting Churchill this morning, which should lock in another few years of lucrative Daily Mail columns:
