I’m not sure when Love Island SA actually ends, but for many, it was dead in the water within the first few days.

That’s due in large part to the shoddy production quality, and lack of diversity in the casting, among other things.

Feel free to revisit the horror show of the early episodes here, for a trip down memory lane.

Here at 2OV, we’re keeping our distance, although every so often we do stumble across a reminder that the show soldiers on.

The other day, it was a spelling bee, and this time around we’ll take a brief look at some of the lads talking about conspiracy theories.

I don’t know any of their names, or their backstories, but M-Net tells me the man with the black hat is called Chris.

Hi, Chris – wow us with your wisdom:

‘What, do you just run to the edge and po*s off?’

Considering where that conversation could have ended up (here’s to those COVID-19 protesters in Cape Town), I’m actually reasonably impressed with the common sense shown.

I hope they all find love, or that thing they’re really after – social media followers.
