Tom Hanks, a trusty dog, and a robot that he built to protect them all team up for a new end of the world movie to be released on Apple TV+.
Finch follows Hank as the lone survivor of a global apocalypse, caused by a catastrophic solar event, who embarks on a dangerous journey to find a new home for his unlikely family.
The situation is dire, but Hanks, along with his dog and robot, make it as light-hearted as possible, forging a bond that makes them a great team for the post-apocalyptic world.
Finch is directed by Emmy award-winning Miguel Sapochnik who helmed several pivotal episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones, including the fan-favourite Battle of the Bastards.
Similar to how recurring dreams are a way for us to practice and eventually resolve real-life conflict, perhaps apocalyptic movies can help us cope with what feels like the coming of the end of the world as we know it.
Alright, trailer time:
Finch will be released on Apple TV+ on November 5.
