  • Daniel Craig Prefers Gay Bars

Daniel Craig likes his martinis shaken, not stirred, and his bars gay, not straight.

The actor, who just completed his final outing as Bond in No Time to Die, revealed that he prefers to frequent gay bars because that way, he’s less likely to get into a brawl.

Or as he puts it, he can avoid the “aggressive d**k-swinging in hetero bars”.

    Fair enough.

Via The Independent, Craig, who is married to actress Rachel Weisz, told Bruce Bozzi on SiriusXM’s Lunch With Bruce podcast that:

“Listen, you know, I’ve been going to gay bars for as long as I can remember, and one of the reasons [is] because I don’t get into fights in gay bars that often.”

The 53-year-old star said that as a youngster, he would find himself getting into several fights when hitting other types of pubs.

So for that reason, Craig said he found gay bars “a good place to go,” and safe, too.

He admitted that he also found it easier to meet women at a gay bar because of the environment, where “Everybody was chill. … You didn’t really sort of have to state your sexuality.”

Craig also recalled the time he was “caught” at a gay bar in Venice Beach, California, with his long-time pal Bruce Bozzi in 2010:

“For me, it was one of those situations and the irony is, you know, we kind of got ‘caught’, I suppose, which was kind of weird [be]cause we were doing nothing f****ing wrong,” Craig said.

“What happened is we were having a nice night and I kind of was talking to you about my life when my life was changing and we got drunk and I was like, ‘Oh, let’s just go to a bar, come on, let’s f****ing go out’,” he explained.

“And I just was like, ‘I know I don’t give a f***,’ and we’re in Venice,” Craig added.

In other Craig news, he recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Plus, No Time to Die has made more than £50 million at the UK box office after just two weekends, already making it one of the top 10 highest-grossing Bond films ever.

Anyway, a martini with a twist is always fun.
