Beachgoers were enjoying a beautiful day at Miami Beach on Saturday when a helicopter flying overhead suddenly crashed into the sea.
The chopper plunged into the water just a few metres from where people were swimming.
Fortunately, nobody in the water was injured by the impact.
However, two of the three people inside the chopper were taken to hospital and are apparently in stable condition, reported Sky News.
Tense footage shared by Miami Beach Police on Twitter captured the moment it went down:
This afternoon at 1:10 p.m., MBPD received a call of a helicopter crash in the ocean near 10 Street. Police and @MiamiBeachFire responded to the scene along with several partner agencies. Two occupants have been transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

It is unclear at this stage why the chopper malfunctioned and crashed into the ocean.
