Every human, child or adult, has been slightly embarrassed by their mother suddenly showing up out of the blue with love and kisses at the ready.
Whether you’re a high-schooler trying to make a name for yourself as an independent grown-up, or an adult trying to make a name for yourself as a professional, it happens to the best of us.
Myles Harris, a reporter in Ohio whose mom showed up while he was working, knows the feeling.
He might have felt pangs of awkwardness, but that is precisely what has struck a chord online.
The ABC 6 reporter was about to shoot for a story when he spotted his mom in the oncoming traffic.
His exasperation turned lowkey amusement as his mom squeals “Hi, baby!” with delight and blows kisses is exactly what’s making everyone so obsessed with the video that has now gone viral, reported The Guardian.
The clip was originally published by the TV station, which seems to have been taken down, so here it is reposted on Twitter:

It looks like Harris reposted the video to his Instagram, too, leaning into his role as a doted-on son:

The comments are full of people admitting that their mothers would do the same thing, with one user saying, “It’s a mom’s job to annoy/embarrass their child whenever possible. No age limit.”
Yep, mothers will be mothers.
