We hope the fourth was with you yesterday – May 4, otherwise known as Star Wars Day.

Suffice to say Disney+ was having a field day, releasing a new Obi-Wan Kenobi series trailer.

We already got a sneak peek from the teaser trailer, showcasing Ewan McGregor in all his Jedi Master glory.

TechRadar reported that the second full-length trailer dives into all the challenges everyone’s favourite Jedi is expected to face across the series’ six episodes.

If you’re not excited, that’s fine, because McGregor really is, insisting that this new series will truly “satisfy Star Wars fans”.

There was previously Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), followed by Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), and lastly Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005).

This six-episode series will continue after Episode III and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader:

Kathleen Kennedy has previously promised fans the “rematch of the century,” and this new footage – showing off Vader’s iconic suit and creepy breathing – has us even more excited for that long-awaited showdown.

In the poster image above you can see Christensen’s Vader bearing his legendary red lightsaber atop an ominous canyon – the possible spot where this legendary rematch will go down.

Don’t worry, Kenobi’s return is just around the corner.

The full series is set to begin streaming on Disney+ on May 27.
