Range Rover Fans – This One’s For You

Lunaz, known for restoring and modifying existing historic cars, turned two Range Rovers into something quite exquisite and exciting.

Lunaz is known for restoring and modifying existing historic cars into zero-emission powertrains.

I know, that sounds like the plot for Cars, the movie, but what they have done to the classic Range Rover will prove to you that we are, luckily, very much based in reality.

The designers have turned an original Range Rover into an awesome electromod, fit for use as a sailing yacht tender on Long Island, as the customer intended.

Per Carscoops, the commission converted the classic car into a Safari model that lacks a roof and features an open rear passenger compartment:

This weakens the structure of the vehicle, but Lunaz has added “significant body and chassis reinforcements” to ensure the vehicle is rigid even without its roof.

Inside, the model has been transformed into an eight-seater thanks to two rows of sofa-like rear seats on Mocca Walnut flooring – a nod to yachting.

The whole thing looks very ocean breezy:

The electromod Range Rovers come standard with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing approximately 360 hp (268 kW / 365 PS) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque.

To make hay while the sun shines, Lunaz also turned a long-wheelbase Range Rover into a Town configuration that will be based in Monaco and driven with a chauffeur roughly 80% of the time:

The SUV features a two-tone design with a coral body that contrasts with a jet black roof. Inside, there’s multi-color leather and wool seats, which offer power adjustment as well as heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

Other highlights include walnut wood trim, heated/cooled cup holders, a fridge, a wireless smartphone charger, and a watch winder for four timepieces. Rounding out the highlights are a six-inch infotainment system and a premium audio system with a 1300-watt amplifier.

We’ve come to that point where we talk about cost.

There’s no word on how much these customised creations cost in full, but Lunaz mentions that pricing starts at £245 000, which is just under R5 million.

Very cool, very nice.
