Angela Nikolau describes herself as being the “world’s most extreme roofer girl inspired by art and heights”, as well as an extreme creator and a painter.

She calls the pictures of herself atop some of the world’s tallest and most iconic buildings ‘art’ and sells them as NFTs.

Does this mean I can start marketing my reading-in-bed selfies as ‘extreme’ and sell them on OpenSea for pure bank? If not me, someone else should try.

Anyway, the Russian free-climber and influencer is on to something, sending social media into a tizzy with her vertigo-inducing content.

A recent post of herself perched on the edge of the world’s second-highest building, as picked up by the Daily Mail, will definitely give you full-body chills.

She is said to have climbed the 2 227-foot (678-metre) Merdeka Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with her boyfriend Ivan Beerkus, a building she notes as the “most beautiful skyscraper’ she has ever visited”:

The building is dwarfed only by the 2 716-foot (827-metre) Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Of course, there is more content:

She tells the story about how she managed the climb on Twitter:

This is what she wrote:

‘I fell in love with the Merdeka 118 Tower the moment I saw it. I felt an instant spiritual connection. Such a majestic building in the middle of an amazing city – I had to discover and share the views with others.’

Hey, Rob van Vuuren, we found a ‘Namaste Bae’ with a “spiritual” connection to a building over here for you.

She goes on with a subtle but sellable mention of the fact that she got naked somewhere along the climb:

Nikolau also noted that she had rented an apartment with a good view of the tower so that she could conduct “surveillance of the building”, saying that she spent several weeks researching details that would help her with the climb.

It looks like either Nikolau and her Bo trespassed (in December, the Malaysian police were investigating the couple for trespassing) or they faked the whole thing:

Anyway, it is good publicity for the 118-storey Merdeka Tower, which is due for completion by mid-2023, according to the developer.

In this day and age, anything and everything goes.
