South Africans are getting fed up with everyday criminal activities happening in their neighbourhoods, and the police either being in on it or ignoring it. Either way, people are gatvol.

Polokwane has been at the mercy of four ‘fake’ Bolt drivers who have been robbing people for more than a year now. Bolt has confirmed that they are aware of the ‘renowned robbers’ who have been using stolen identities to pass off as legit drivers.

But, whilst Bheki Cele’s men in blue have not been able to come up with a plan, community members set a trap for the men and managed to flush out the robbers, who were then paraded through the streets butt-naked.

The men were captured by community members and paraded naked on the streets of Polokwane after allegedly being caught trying to rob a student.

Unfortunately for the men, the shameful parade was captured on film, but be warned, there is a lot of nakedness on display so it’s probably NSFW and can only be viewed on Youtube:

The four men were instructed to hold hands and say, ‘We will not rob again’, by the community members as they walked along the busy highway. Bolt has, of course, distanced itself from the men, as well as any vigilante action by the community.

“The gentlemen were acting contrary to the [rules and regulations of e-hailing companies in Polokwane, including Bolt, t-Drive and Uber]. They are just criminals, who should be left to law-enforcement agencies.”

Just to be clear, we don’t condone any person taking the law into their own hands, but this makes us want to ring bells and yell ‘Shame!’ Police have not yet commented on the incident and are perhaps waiting for everyone to forget about it so they can skip the paperwork.
