It might have been a quiet Sunday morning in Secunda for some folks.
But for one particular driver, it ended rather suspiciously as she crashed into the storefront of a Sasol petrol station in the small Mpumalanga town’s CBD.
According to reports, the female driver lost control of her car in the early hours of the morning, crashing through the windows of the petrol station convenience store.
The Citizen notes that the police and emergency services checked out the scene and confirmed that no serious injuries occurred.
You can only imagine the hang-xiety that this woman would have felt once the day progressed:

Saffas on Twitter are remarking that she must have had a wild Saturday night:
it happened in my hood’s town at Secunda around 3 A.M, “apparently” she was drunk https://t.co/1Tat87etCZ

This is rather reminiscent of the time in December last year, when a Hyundai drove through the window of a convenience store in an Engen petrol station outside the Pavilion Shopping Centre in Westville, injuring five store workers.

One month later, at the New Salt Rock shopping centre on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal, a woman accidentally smashed through a Col’Cacchio, narrowly missing the okes trying to have a bite to eat.

As if that’s not enough reckless driving for one year, someone driving a Porsche crashed through the window of Lynwood coffee shop, JulieBean, in February.

The owners of the artisanal coffee shop, Julie and Riaan Venter, confirmed via Rekord that the shop was closed on Sunday and that no one was injured in the incident.
“Nobody got hurt. If it had been a Saturday, it would have been a different story,” said Riaan.
