Yet again, a famous Youtuber has been caught out doing something despicable. The new addition to the list of ‘psychos doing psycho stuff’ features a famous chef who has been caught trying to dump his lover’s head in a Thai resort. Stephen King can’t make this s*** up.
Daniel Sancho, 29, appeared in court on Monday after police arrested him for the brutal death and dismemberment of his lover Dr Edwin Arrieta Arteaga, a 44-year-old Colombian plastic surgeon.
Sancho is the son of Spanish actors Rodolfo Sancho Aguirre and Silvia Bronchalo and is a well-known social media chef in his home country. The pair were on holiday on the island of Koh Pha Ngan – famed for its beaches, laid-back lifestyle, and wild “full moon” parties – when an argument over “sex and money” turned deadly.
But far from being a crime of passion, police believe the brutal murder was pre-meditated. According to reports, Sancho only reported his lover missing after returning from one of the aforementioned “full moon” parties and there are indications that he had the murder planned before arriving on the island.
Police have managed to recover Arteaga’s remains after creeped-out locals found his hips and thighs in a landfill site on the island.
Shortly after being confronted, the killer chef confessed to the crime, describing how he disposed of the head in the sea.
The YouTuber apparently cut Arteaga’s body into 14 pieces, discarding some in the rubbish dump and using a kayak to cast others out to sea in a suitcase — including the surgeon’s head. On Sunday, Sancho travelled with police to seven sites where he is accused of ditching the body parts.

Nasty business.
Sancho’s family released a statement on Sunday asking for “maximum respect”, both for Daniel himself and for the whole family, in these “delicate moments of maximum confusion”. Funny way to describe being busted for a brutal murder.
Koh Pha Ngan is famed for its white sandy beaches and draws thousands of backpackers. In 2014, another tourist island Koh Tao was rocked by the double murder of two young British backpackers.
Two Burmese nationals are serving sentences of life imprisonment for the murders, but rights groups have accused Thai authorities of using the men as scapegoats.
