The issue of hunting in Southern Africa has always been a topic of hot debate, and all that was before a certain dentist poached Cecil the lion and caused an international outrage.
Our resident firebrand Masterchef judge Peter Goffe-Wood, host of his own show on 2OV Radio the first Wednesday of each month, had his say earlier this month and he didn’t hold back.
Together with #WhatTheFoodShow host Aimee Eveleigh the two took on an issue that is currently front and centre, that of the merits of hunting. You may remember these two from Peter’s rant last month, Cape Town’s sushi establishments taking a real tongue-lashing.
Here’s a clip from their show together with all the juicy bits included…
You would have to say that there are some extremely valid points made, as unpopular as they might be, and I don’t think there are many of us out there who still believe our supermarket-bought meats come from animals treated like rock stars.
Be sure to keep up to date with what’s happening on the show HERE, if there’s one thing we can be sure of it’s that we’re not in for a dull moment with these two on air.
