Last week my flatmate decided to upgrade the fridge, which involved us cleaning out the current one in preparation.
Turns out there were a few items towards the back that were a good five years past their expiry date, which upon being opened showed disturbing signs of bacteria having had a jolly good time inside.
Of course they were all turfed, but just what does a McDonald’s Happy Meal look like a full SIX YEARS after being purchased? Full of bacteria, rotting, smelling?
One Alaskan mother decided to conduct an experiment and shared this on Facebook:

To be frank it looks like the kind of meal you might wake up hungover next to and shove a few mouthfuls in before anyone wakes up and catches you.
That should not be the case after a full six years, so if someone could remind me of this the next time I’m standing in front of the Golden Arches in the early hours of the morning that would be much appreciated.
